Featured aspects of the Gracia update are:

· Vitality System – A brand new Vitality System has been introduced, making Lineage II much more accessible for new players. This system allows players to accumulate temporary experience multipliers the longer they spend time in peaceful zones. The multipliers dramatically increase the amount of experience earned during combat, making character levelling much faster than ever before.
· Revised Battle System – Experience combat on a whole new level. New damage bonuses have been factored in; meaning the location and terrain of both target and attacker must be carefully considered before combat is initiated.
· New hunting grounds and monsters – Monsters are more ferocious with the ability to use devastating Soulshots and Spiritshot attacks. However, with an increased challenge comes an increased reward in the shape of XP adjustments. Two new instance hunting grounds are also included, giving players fresh adversaries to hunt.
